For some, the stage is a dream. For Ira Warren, it is a divine assignment. A multi-gifted creative and healing practitioner, Ira brings more than talent to the Jasai Theater Festival, she brings purpose, lived experience, and an unwavering spirit.
With over two decades in the arts, Ira's journey has been nothing short of guided. From producing and writing her debut album 22 years ago to sharing the stage with artists like Floetry, Regina Bell, Kim Burrell, and James Fortune & Fiya, her path has always been anchored in faith, expression, and service.
As a member of the group Spirit and Truth, managed by industry veteran Larry Rogers, Ira carved her place not only as a vocalist but as a storyteller, channeling emotion through music, poetry, dance, and acting.
This year, Ira joins the Jasai Theater Festival with an open heart and a vision rooted in legacy. Her dream is to secure a home large enough to mentor children, grow her non-profit, and continue creating books and performances that uplift and heal. Through her work in trauma-informed massage therapy and artistic expression, she sees each opportunity as a means to serve, evangelize, and support the healing of others, including herself.
What she loves most about being a part of the festival is the chance to fully show up, to use her gifts practically, emotionally, and spiritually in service of the story. It’s more than a role for Ira. It’s a reflection of her journey.
"My trajectory has been divinely guided, aligning with a preordained purpose," she shares. And that purpose radiates in every line she delivers, every note she sings, and every step she takes on stage.
🌟 This year, we celebrate Ira Warren, not only for the artist she is, but for the mission she lives out with grace, strength, and love.
